The following are some pictures taken during my several trips to Japan. I have grouped them into a few categories.
Cherry Blossoms (and other flowers
The Japanese people like gardens, parks, flowers, bushes, etc. anytime of the year. But the blooming of the cherry blossoms is a special time. Time to gather with your friends and family, sit under the trees, and get drunk.
Everyone likes to stroll through a garden. (Check next picture).
Even when the garden is on the roof of a tall building.
Party space is at a premium when the cherry blossoms bloom!

In every country there are local customs that we are not familiar with. Also, the people adapt to their circumstances in different ways. The following are some pictures I took of "different" things as I walked about Japan.
Any country that heats the tiolet seat is OK in my book!
A carousel for cars. Leave your kid in the car and give them a cheap ride.
Just discovered, hiding in a cave on Okinawa (don't tell them WWII is over).
Do we really need to put clothes on them? It isn't even cold out.
OK, maybe I can go along with putting clothes on them. But pushing them in a carriage!
If he pulls a comb out off that back pocket, I'm puking.
